 AMAROK, Inc. was formed in November 1996 to
maximize the strengths of independent wall & ceiling distributors throughout the United States. Today AMAROK serves over
170 member-owners with more than 300 locations nationwide and has grown to become one of the most respected purchasing
cooperatives within the building materials industry.

AMAROK was established to ensure the survival and growth of the Independent Drywall Distributor. The existence
of AMAROK allows independent businesses to use their combined purchasing power to attain competitive pricing for the
goods and services they use. At a time when the relentless expansion of manufacturer owned distributor networks,
large multi yard chains, and big box home improvement retailers is intensifying, independently owned operations have
turned to AMAROK to help level the playing field with these large competitors.

The name AMAROK means "wolf" in the Inuit (Eskimo) language. The word has been used in literature to signify the
brave leader. Wolves are bold, independent creatures with a deep loyalty to the pack. AMAROK supports the independent
nature of its member-owners through the strength, innovation and efficiencies generated by the group.
